Taking place Saturday, August 16th & Sunday, August 17th, The Big Picnic is a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly gathering where the spirit of Garvey lives on through fellowship, empowerment, and fun. Enjoy delicious food, uplifting music, powerful speeches, and community vibes like no other. Kids 12 and under receive a complimentary hot dog and drink, and there’s something for everyone from kite-building workshops to vibrant vendor booths with T-shirts and cultural items.

Come early, bring your coolers, chairs, and blankets this is a BYOS (Bring Your Own Stuff) event! But if you’d rather not pack everything, you can rent one of our overnight tents and settle in beneath the stars. Planning to bring the RV? We’ve got dedicated spots and full washroom facilities to keep you comfortable. And for our competitive spirits, don’t miss the $1,000 first-place Domino Tournament, a chance to show off your skills and honor the game we love. Whether you're there to chill or compete, this event is built to nourish both your soul and your sense of community.
